Jersey's New Brother!

Jersey's brother, Bryce, was born on September 27, 2010. She met him for the first time on September 29. We could tell that she loved him instantly! Jersey loves to give Bryce kisses and cuddles with him everyday :)

Almost a Big Sister

We took Jersey to the family's farm today for a pregnancy photo shoot. She is one proud soon-to-be-big sister!!

To Search or Not To Search...That is the Question

We had another successful training day. Jersey is really starting to make some beautiful points and is getting better at holding steady when the bird flushes, but still has a long way to go before she is ready to be tested (which includes some much needed obedience training in the field).

So, we decided to see what she would do with a live duck. Would she search for it in the water?? Let's see...

So far, she looks good...she's quite interested and looks ready to go
BUT...

She could care less about that duck! If you look closely, you can see it swimming toward the other end of the pond :)

And she decides to take a joy run through the shallow water and mud.

Hey, at least you can tell she's happy!!

We'll try the duck search again another time.

Training Day

We had a training day over the weekend, which I must say was quite successful. Right now, we are working on getting Jersey to stop when the bird is flushed...she wants to chase after it :) Our goal is to have her ready for her Senior Hunter test by next spring, but this fall would be even better (with a baby on the way though, that may be a little ambitious)!

Jersey's First AKC Title

We are pleased to announce that Jersey is now a Junior Hunter!! She earned the last two legs for the title this weekend at the Hunt Test in Munfordville, KY. Now it's time for more practice in the field to prepare for the next test.

January was an exciting month for the Victory family!

Jersey found out that she is going to be a big sister! Now, like her mom, she sleeps whenever she can...and in some of the weirdest positions I might add.

She even fell asleep on her rope bone!

About to jump!!

We got the TN version of a snow storm the last week of January. We averaged about 4-5 inches at our house. Jersey was quite unsure of the snow at first, but soon grew to love it.

Jersey loved to eat and carry the snow around the back yard.
